Adjective Remix …

otherwise known as Adventures in Descriptions.

As SLPs know, children with language disorders often have difficulty finding specific words to describe things. I’ve done therapy targeting describing words quite often. This new app by Smarty-Ears applications makes it a bit more fun.

App Adventures

Have you ever thought about how apps for the iPad are made? Why they are made?

I didn’t have a clue how they’re made until I helped create one (SLP Goalbank)…and then my knowledge was very VERY limited. I helped create an excel file with content, sent it to the developer (smarty-ears) and magic happened. Almost before we knew it, the app was done, accepted by iTunes, and people were buying it. Here’s to new adventures!

Welcome…if you’ve managed to find this site, it’s hopefully because you are a speech-language pathologist (therapist) and exploring new and innovative ways to do therapy. I’m both pleased and honored that you have taken the time to look here and see what’s happening. This is the first post (of many hopefully) for my new business/blog/web presence.

Speech Adventures will be where I discuss things I’m doing in therapy, apps that I’m reviewing and/or creating, and discussions of upcoming presentations that I’ll either be attending or providing.

I truly hope you’ll check back often and leave a comment or two.

Adventure on!
